Session 1: Flip booksIn this introductory lesson students learnt the principles of animation using a flip book, where drawings that gradually change from one page to the next are animated when the pages are turned rapidly, giving the simulation of motion.
Session 2: Changing sizeIn this activity children learnt the basics of the stop-motion animation, a filmmaking technique where objects in successive positions are photographed to give the illusion of movement. They did it while learning how to change the size of a ball from the smallest to the biggest one. The green screen background allows to position the objects in various scenarios.
